$12.00
David regarding this bootleg: “It’s always been the best one,” he says of the Winnipeg Folk Festival. “There was one set that El Rayo-X did that was recorded, and it was mind-blowing. No mistakes, no hesitation. Just straight down the middle. I listened to it afterward and thought, ‘This is what happens when you’re on. When you’re right there in the moment and your brain is working perfectly with your hands.’ I’ll never forget that one.”

From Andy Aledort of Guitar World regarding this show:
“The band featured Ry and David on vocals, guitars and other stringed instruments; Rys son Joachim on percussion; and the R&B/soul singers Terry Evans, Bobby King, and Willie Green. I mentioned to David that I attended this show – which was otherworldly – and he said, “Oh man, you saw the one! That was an incredible night. [Bass singer] Willie Green is amazing – with that voice, he’s my favorite bass player!”

$5.00
You might remember messages from Badgerman on some of Daves self-produced CDs. He was an alter ego who would come in the night and stand at the foot of your bed while you were sleeping—looking like an angry Dick Cheney—if you made copies of the CD without sending Dave $5.
In commemoration of Badgerman, for that same $5, we present this collection of songs, recorded from the audience in McCabes famous backroom concert venue. It is like you are there, just a few feet from Mr. Dave. There is lots of conversation with the crowd and the occasional cough, sneeze, or other noise you would encounter from the people next to you.
It is a flawed recording, what with that guy next to you talking once in a while, but it feels like a tiny Mr. Dave time machine to me for less than the price of a Big-Mac. And it goes to a good cause. And the guy doesn't really talk that much.
